A Saraswati Vidya Mandir Residential school was established in 1983 at Haflong situated almost in the centre of North-East region. The Vanvasi brethern actively cooperated in its establishment. The hostel is run on Gurukul system. 4 acres of land has been donated to the school. Milk, Vegetables, fruits are made available from the farm with the help of self service of the inmates. Old students of the hostel are coming forward to work as teachers and to spread education. The message of Hindutva has worked wonders. During the birth centenary year of Dr. Hedgewar, the students  prepared his biography in 18 tribal languages and these were published in book form by Vidya Bharati. In due course of time, this project will bring many people of that area into the main stream of Hindutva & prepare them to stand once again as sentinels of Bharatiya Sanskriti.
