Border areas of South Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Bengal and Orrisa are known as Chhota Nagpur. This is vanvasi inhabited region. Vidya Bharati has 150 schools and 1000 Sanskar Kendras in the region. Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram has also done a lot for these backward people who have been ignored since time immemorial. Endeavours of Vidya Bharati are like lighting a few candles in an area of thousands of Sq. Kms. where there is darkness of illiteracy and curse of backwardness. Much more needs to be done.
